Mildred L. "Millie" Maas, age 85, a resident of Kankakee and Rockford, IL, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford, IL. She was born February 24, 1925 in Chicago, IL.

Millie was a graduate of Wheaton College. She worked as a laboratory technician for a private doctor's office. She was actively involved for many years at Immanuel Baptist Church in Kankakee, IL. She placed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and dedicated her life to His service.

She is survived by her son, Gregory (Jody) Maas of Wheaton, IL; two granddaughters, Frannie and Carla; her sisters-in-law, Betty Carlson, and Gertrude Carlson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Maas; and her son, Wayne Maas.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 27, at 3:00 P.M. at College Church in Wheaton, 332 E. Seminary Ave, in Wheaton, IL. Interment is private.
