Obituary
Mildred A. Flotow, age 90, a resident of Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard since 1989, and formerly of Maywood, died Wednesday, December 27, at Beacon Hill. She was born February 1, 1916 in Maywood.
Mildred worked most of her career as a bookkeeper for Keyes and Co. She was about 75 when she finally retired and had moved her office to Beacon Hill. She was an expert at needlepoint and knitting. She loved to play cards. She had season tickets for many years both at the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera, and the opera was her favorite. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Lombard.
She is survived by her brother, Howard (Arlene) of FL; her niece, Janet (David) Miller of Hinsdale; and two nephews, Mark (Linda) of Springfield, and Phillip of Berkley, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Martha.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of a service at 12:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Crystal Lake Union Cemetery in Crystal Lake, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church, 21w500 Butterfield Road, Lombard, IL 60148.
