Mildred M. Edmonds, age 101, a resident of Wheaton for 11 years, and formerly a long time resident of Nashville TN, died Thursday, Dec. 23rd, at Wynscape Nursing Care Facility. She was born in Bowling Green, OH, on September 24, 1903.
She was a graduate of Nyack College and Toccoa Falls College. She was a faithful Sunday School teacher for most of her adult life. She was also active in Bible Study Fellowship and the Gideons Auxiliary International for many years. She was know and loved as a caring faithful friend, who blessed many lives by her consistent love for God and people.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha(Alfred) Knudsen; and her son, Rev. Harold W. (Jackie) Edmonds; her 5 grandchildren; and her 15 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; three sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 27th, from 3:00-8:00 PM at Evangel Baptist Church, 1900 Manchester Rd., in Wheaton. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 11:00 AM, also at Evangel Baptist, with the Rev. Harold W. Edmonds officiating.
