Milan G. Hiben, age 98, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, died February 2, 2023 in Winfield, Illinois. He was born February 22, 1924 in Orange, New Jersey to immigrant parents.
He served as a combat pilot in WWII in the European theater of operations where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross medal. Following his service he graduated from Northwestern University and received his Masters degree from University of Chicago. He began his career in banking that spanned 72 years ending at the age of 98 serving on the board of directors of a local bank. He married the love of his life Francine in 1954. They shared 62 wonderful years together enjoying family, traveling, good friends and most of all each other.
He is survived by his son, Brad (Teri) Hiben of Glen Ellyn, IL, his daughter Ellen Legvold of Willow Park, Texas, and daughter-in-law Denise Hiben of Highlands Ranch, CO, and six grandchildren, Steve (Hailey) Hiben, Dan (Amy) Hiben, Mark (Leslie) Hiben, Melissa and Tanner Legvold, and Annabel Hiben.
He was preceded in death by his wife Francine, his son Tom Hiben, and his son-in-law Jim Legvold.
