Michael D. Stelzer, age 58, a resident of Wheaton for over 30 years, and formerly of South Milwaukee, WI, died Sunday, October 29, at home. He was born September 2, 1948, in Germany.
In High School, Michael was a member of the National Honor Society. He graduated from Marquette University, in Milwaukee, WI with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He later worked for Northrup Grumman in Rolling Meadows. He loved playing Blackjack and Roulette.
He is survived by his mother, Erika Stelzer of Greenfield, WI; his adoptive father, Albert (Marge) Stelzer of South Milwaukee, WI; his brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Stelzer of Beaver Dam, WI; his half-sister, Laurie (Scott) Smart of Muskego, WI; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his birth father, Woodrow Hale; and his grandmother, Klara Theurer.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 4-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, in Wheaton, IL. Services and interment are private at Wisonsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI.
