It is with great sadness that the family of Michael V. Pignataro announces his passing after a long illness on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the age of 60. He was born on June 4, 1958 in Chicago, IL and attended Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL. He retired from United Airlines after 30 years of employment. Michael enjoyed bowling with the Polish Falcons, fishing at Lake Michigan, and listening to Frank Sinatra. He was devoted to his family and loved hosting Italian family dinners on Sundays.

Michael is survived by his sisters, Carol Del Gallo, Linda Pignataro, and Darlene Pregara (Giuliano); his nieces Nicole Del Gallo, Jaclin Principato, Christina Principato; nephews Matthew & Emma (Ost) Pregara, Marc Pregara; great niece Natalina Principato; great nephews Luciano Roa, Elliott Pregara, and GianCarlo Principato; his uncles Richard & Toni (Imbrogno) Pignataro, Roger Canzolino, Joseph Canzolino; aunt Geraldine Pilarczyk and many cousins and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jenny (Canzolino) Pignataro; his brother Anthony Pignataro and niece Dana Del Gallo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, IL. Prayers will be said on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. located at St. Petronille Catholic Church , 420 Glenwood Ave., in Glen Ellyn, IL. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
