Obituary

Michael Bytner, age 77, a long time resident of West Chicago, died Monday, August 30, 2010 at the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. He was born in Poland on April 22, 1933.

Mike was a veteran of the US Army, serving as an interpreter during the Korean War. He was employed as a machinist for General Mills in West Chicago and then later by Kraft Foods, designing packaging machinery. He later moved to Stillman Valley, IL where he and his wife operated a local mobile home park.

He is survived by his sons Michael (Kathryn) Bytner and Gregory Bytner, daughters, Kathy and Olga, grandson, Matthew Bytner, and two sisters Olga Perec and Ann Bandura.

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 41 years, Arlene G. Bytner in 2003.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 3, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A funeral service will be Saturday September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Main and Seminary St. in Wheaton. Interment will be at the Stillman Valley Cemetery in Stillman Valley, Illinois.
