Melvin A. Fraisl, III, age 79, a resident of Bloomingdale, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.  He was born May 11, 1945 in Elmhurst to Melvin II & Dorothy Fraisl.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Margot; his children Melissa (Brian) Kita, Mel Fraisl Jr. & Jason Anderson; his grandchildren Brandon Reschke, Serena (fiancé Mike Gadawski) Anderson & Aaron Kita; his brother Daniel Fraisl; his brother-in-law Spencer Brown; and his five nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Judy Ann Brown and his parents.

It could be said that Mel Fraisl hit the ground running and was always on the move, which is how he earned the family nick name "Buzz".  Born in Elmhurst, Mel's early years were spent in the Chicago suburbs.  His Dad's career, which Mel idolized, had his family moving several times, first Minneapolis, then St. Louis, Davenport and back to the Chicago area.

Mel served in the Army and was stationed on the East Coast.  He came back home to Illinois, then moved to the West Coast and then back to Illinois again. He finally settled here and stayed!  But he always had a travel bag on his shoulder and probably has visited almost all of the fifty states. He loved to sell, he loved to succeed, and he did! He received awards & recognitions too numerous to mention and made hundreds of friends along the way. One of his dreams was to own his own company, which he finally did. In fact, he started three different enterprises. He was always on the run.

He then enjoyed travel for the joy of travel. Especially cruising or near a body of water.  He loved his dogs. He loved good food, good wine and good music, although often too loud!

He valued his family above all else. He was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. A loyal and caring friend. He was thoughtful, respectful, kind and generous.  He was a good man...

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187 where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. The service will be livestreamed through this link: Funeral Service for Mel Fraisl . Burial will be private at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
