Melody Lord Lundberg, 57, of Palatine, beloved mother of Julia, Christina and Laura, and dear friend of Gary Karner, died Thur, Jan 18. Melody was orchestral pianist for the CSO and on the faculty of DePaul University for over 25 years. She was considered one of the finest coaches and accompanists in the Chicagoland area. In addition to her contributions as a teacher and composer, she was pianist for the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Metropolitan Opera's Regional Auditions, Chicago Opera Theatre and performances throughout the world. Visitation, Sun., Jan. 21st, 1-5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wheaton, 1310 N. Main St., where services will be held on Mon. at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, River Grove.
