May Matsumori nee Yano, age 90, of Carol Stream, IL, went home to be with her Lord on June 8, 2016. She was born on May 26, 1926 in Tacoma, Wa to Keiji and Fujie Yano. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sauce, who went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2008.
She grew up in Tacoma until World War II when she and her family were sent to an internment camp at Tule Lake, CA. When the war was over they were moved by the government to New Jersey. It was in Philadelphia that she went to nursing school and met her husband, Sauce Matsumori.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Rex) Waters, grandchildren Rachel and Nat Waters and brother Perry Yano. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
