May Joyce, age 68, passed away on January 10th. She was born on December 8, 1954 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She traveled to Chicago, Illinois for work and decided to move there permanently. After marrying Michael, they had three daughters and relocated twice before returning to Chicago.

May was primarily a stay at home mom, but was very involved in all of her daughters activities. She was the most fun mom and "Nani" to her grandkids.

May was a great friend, sister, and aunt to many people, but her most prideful role was being a wife, mother to her 3 girls and a Nani to her five grandchildren. May was brave, loving, fiercely loyal and resilient.

In 2012 our world was drastically altered when May was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's at the age of 57. Over the next 11 years, she battled against this horrible disease with the support of her family.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael; her daughters Jennifer (Dale) Jordan, Laura (Jay) Clarke, and Julie Joyce; her grandchildren Natalie Jordan, Tyler Jordan, Mackenzie May Jordan, Ryder Griffith and Rogan Clarke, and her sister Anne Elliott.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois 60187, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
