Matthew Perkowitz, age 22, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died on September 2, 2018, in Wheaton, Illinois. He was born January 30, 1996 in San Mateo, California.
Matt grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School. After he earned his Associates Degree from the College of DuPage on the Presidential Scholarship, he attended the University of Minnesota where he hoped to help others through his studies in psychology.
Matt's curiosity lead to many interests including, personal health and fitness, cooking, and above all mindfulness.
Matt maintained strong connections with family and friends through card and board games, meaningful conversations, and a good meal. He will always be remembered for his blue eyes and kind heart.
In finding his own peace, Matt would want all to send blessings, not worries.
He is survived by his mother, Cathy Perkowitz of Wheaton, two sisters, Nicole and Grace Perkowitz, numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Perkowitz in 2016 and his cousin, Adam Atchison.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Millett Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church, followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m.
