Mary D. Scheuller, age 80, a resident of Wheaton, IL, fomerly of the Edgewater Neighborhood of Chicago, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was born September 24, 1941 in Utica, New York to Vincent DePaul Murphy and Mary Elizabeth Clarey.

Mary grew up in Utica, where she graduated high school. She moved to Chicago in early 1961, and while a nursing student at DePaul University she met J. Glenn Scheuller. They were married on November 11, 1961. She was a mother and homemaker who went on to work with her husband in the tax accounting business they started in 1970. She continued the tax business after her husband's death until May of 2021, when she retired. She had recently moved to Wheaton to be closer to her two sons.

She was involved with Kiwanis Club of the North Shore in Chicago, succeeding her husband's role in the organization. She enjoyed making ornamental rugs, surfing the web, and staying in touch with family. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandsons.

She is survived by her children Thomas (Greg) O'Brien, George (Sandra), Kevin (Christina), and Douglas (Sharon); her grandchildren, Sherrie (Adam) McCumber, George, Mary, Eric, Hannah, Natalie and Elizabeth, three great-grandsons, Finn, Colton and Grayson. She is also survived by her sister, Julie Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her husband J. Glenn Scheuller in 2006 and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
