Obituary

Mary Lou Powell, age 68, a resident of Wheaton for 57 years, died Friday, March 18 at home. She was born in Oak Park on September 6, 1936 to Edmund and Gertrude Powell.

Miss Powell was a graduate of Wheaton College. For more than 20 years she worked for Produce Reporter in Wheaton as Director of Accounting. She was a member of the Wheaton Bible Church.

Mary is survived by sister, JoAnn (Edwin) Selander of Wheaton, her brother, Edmund (Dottie) Powell, Jr. of Wheaton; nieces and nephews, Janet (Gary) Meyer, Timothy (Aileen) Selander, Thomas Selander, Karen (Joseph) Heinlein, Karl (Kelly) Stanton, Kristin (Jeff) Plowman, Heather (Christopher) Houser, and Noel Powell; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Services and interment are private. Interment is at Wheaton Cemetery.
