Mary Lou Ghelfi-McCurdy, 83, a resident of Naperville, IL, and a long time resident of Carol Stream, died Sun., Feb. 2, 2014. She was born Feb. 6, 1930 in Chicago, IL. Mrs. McCurdy worked for Wheaton College as a secretary. She was a member of the ASPCA and Wheaton Bible Church. She was a writer, and a long time volunteer at Central DuPage Hospital. She was married to her husband, Ronald, for 63 years. She is survived by her children, Robert McCurdy and Lori (Jeffrey) McCurdy Janicke; her grandchildren Heather (Eric) Chizzo, Sarah (Glen) Krisch, Amie Orlowski, Ashley (Scott) Bills, Jeremy McCurdy, Anthony McCurdy, and Jake Janicke; and her great-grandchildren Aidan, Owen, and Ben Krisch, Makenna Chizzo, and Alexa Orlowski. She was preceded in death by her daughters Barbara, Debra, and Jennifer. A memorial service will be held at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185 on Sat., March 8 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John White officiating. Memorial gifts may be directed to the
