Mary Anna Gulia's Obituary
Mary Anna Gulia, age 91, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, died Saturday, December 15, at Windsor's Johnson Healthcare Center. She was born September 17, 1916 in Chicago.
Mary was the Sunday School Secretary at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Norwood Park, IL for more than 45 years. She was a member of the Swiss Lady Society, the American Turners, and the Drifters.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Jean (Charles) Russell, and Dolores (Grant) Giesler; three grandchildren, Patricia (Brad) Eyers, John (Georgeann) Russell, and Charles (Laura) Russell, Jr.; and four great-grandchildren, Amanda, John, Charles, and Sasha.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John; and two brothers, Emil and Albert.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, from 4-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, at 11:00 A.M. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 119 West Wise Road in Schaumburg. Interment is private at St. Lucas Cemetery in Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Rd., Ste. #100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
