Mary Ann Gassner, age 63, a resident of Wheaton, passed away May 15, 2021, at Symphony of Hanover Park.  She was born February 9, 1958 in Chicago to Franklin & Marie Gassner.

Mary attended St. Matthias grammar school and Alvernia High School in Chicago and earned a Bachelors degree in Business and English from Elmhurst College.  She worked for over 30 years at BMO Harris in Chicago.

Mary loved taking art classes at the DuPage Art League, reading, doing needlework and eating out.  She also loved music and attending concerts with her brother, Paul, (in their younger days) and reading the Peanuts comic strip.

Most of all she loved being with family, and we loved being with her.

She is survived by her sister Karen (David) Diersen and brother Paul (Ingrid) Gassner; her nieces Rosemarie (Joseph) Grimm, Catherine (Nicky) Calascibetta, Elizabeth Gassner & Annmarie Gassner; and her great-niece & nephews Joseph, Viviana & Franklin Grimm.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 21, 2021, from 3-8PM. Funeral Saturday, May 22, 2021, 9:15 am from Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois 60187, to St. Michael Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton.
