Mary Freitag, age 92, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream and formerly a longtime resident of LaGrange, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at Windsor Park. She was born June 4, 1919

She grew up in Minier, Illinois where she graduated from high school. She married her childhood sweetheart, William Freitag. They were active members of the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange.

Mary was an outgoing and friendly person, who valued her many friendships. She played the piano and enjoyed entertaining others with her music.

She is survived by two children, Dahla (the late William) Brown of West Chicago and Jeff Freitag of Lombard, two grandchildren, Justin and Brianna Freitag and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, two brothers, Carroll "Carl" and Lyle, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Windsor Park,

Interment will be held in Minier Cemetery in Minier.
