Obituary
Martha F. Jamieson, age 96, a resident of Wheaton since 1943, died Tuesday, May 17, at the Wynscape Healthcare Center in Wheaton. She was born in South Dakota on July 30, 1908 to Ferdinand and Adele Zissler who were German missionaries. As a young woman she was a country school teacher in rural Iowa.
From 1945 until 1965 she operated Martha Jamieson's Nursery School in Wheaton. She and her husband, Marlin, moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 1971 and returned to Wheaton in 1990.
Mrs. Jamieson is survived by two sons, Dennis (Dolly) Jamieson of Carol Stream and Jerry Jamieson of Fairfax, Virginia, six grandchildren, Patti Kagebein, Lynn, Tim, Andy, Jeffrey and Jason Jamieson and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997.
Services will be held privately.
