Martha "Marty" Eisele, age 90, a lifelong resident of Wheaton, died Friday, November 5, at the Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton. She was born April 7, 1914 in Ohio to James and Elizabeth Willis.
Marty graduated from Wheaton High School, and later in life was responsible for organizing many class reunions. She was a private secretary for a number of local firms in the Chicagoland area. During World War II she volunteered as a chauffeur, transporting military officers during their stay in Chicago. She remained active in her local church where she enjoyed working with the youth ministry. She was a cat lover, and always had one as a pet. At one point she even wrote an unpublished series of stories entitled, "Kitty Tales". She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a league at the Wheaton Bowl for a number of years. She will be remembered for always being on the go, for her wit and her winning smile.
She is survived by her nephew, Charles Sharrard of Chicago; her neice by marriage, Carol Sharrard of Glen Carbon, IL; and three great-nephews, Charles III, Richard, and Gregory.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 10, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Services and interment are private.
