Mark Robert Prior, age 52, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died June 14, 2012, at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.  He was born February 15, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois.

Mark was an incredibly loving and generous man who will be missed beyond measure. He grew up in Homewood, IL and remained very close to childhood friends throughout his life. After his family and friends, his next love was working on and rebuilding cars. Mark enjoyed his job as the CFO of Promark International, Bartlett, IL . He was also deeply committed to the education and support of young people with Type 1 diabetes.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Samuelson Prior of Wheaton, two step-daughters, Rachel and Jackie Marro, who were "like his own," parents Robert and Shirlee Prior of Mokena, IL, three sisters Donna Szafranski of Lowell, IN, Janet Prior Gayes (Rich) of Oak Park, IL, Nancy Prior Zansitis (Jerry) of Orland Park, IL, and many much-loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Szafranski, and his mother-in-law, Johann Korpa Samuelson.

A private viewing and service were held at Hultgren Funeral Home.
