Marjorie L. Evans Warden, age 88, a resident of Geneva, IL, died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Autumn Leaves in St. Charles, IL. She was born January 30, 1926 in Chicago, IL.

Marjorie attended Wheaton College majoring in art, where her father had served as Chaplain. She enjoyed painting and had a love of art. She liked her pets, especially her greyhound dogs. She had her picture taken with General Eisenhower presenting her with the crown for the Queen of the Confederacy while she lived in Vicksburg, MS. She volunteered with the West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, IL. Her faith was very important to her and she attended Moody Church in Chicago for many years.

She is survived by her children, Holly L. (Rick) Sall of Batavia, IL, and Evan D. Warden of Oak Park, IL; ten grandchildren, Eric (Myriam) Sall, Christopher Sall, Kimberly Sall and Travis Sall, Elizabeth (Ron) Quizon, Ethan Warden, Miles Warden, Elliott Warden, Tyler Warden and Cormac Warden; three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah, and Samuel; four siblings, Gordon (Joyce) Evans, Paul (Joyce) Evans, Bettye Canada and Lyla (David) MacLeod; and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, David S. Warden; and two brothers, Scott Evans and Richard Evans.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until the start of a Celebration of Life (funeral service) to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
