Marion A. Grove, age 95, a resident of Carol Stream, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, peacefully at home.  She was born February 12, 1924 in Chicago to William and Dagne Duvold.

Marion grew up in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago.   She married Rod Grove on March 16, 1946 at Midwest Bible Church in Chicago. They lived in Villa Park for many years and then in Wheaton.  They were always active in their churches, Harvard Ave. Bible Church and Wheaton Evangelical Free Church.  She enjoyed working with the children in the nursery, with Pioneer Girls and in Children's ministries. She also sang in the choir, worked with Women's Missionary Society and was a Deaconess. Marion always opened her home to their children and their friends, to missionaries, church friends and others.

She is survived by her children, Judie Sawyer of Wood Dale, Susan Foley of Wheaton, Joan Grove of Carol Stream and Jim Grove of Wood Dale ,two grandchildren, Dawn (Mike) Blanton and David Foley, and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rod, her parents and one sister, Florence.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  Private interment will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
