Marion E. Anderson's Obituary
Marion E. Anderson, age 91, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Sherman Nursing Home in Elgin. She was born on July 18, 1920 in West Chicago to Charles and Ada Clist.
Marion grew up in West Chicago and moved to Wheaton after the war. She enjoyed gardening and canning and loved to travel north for fishing trips.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Tracy) Hartlipp of Carpentersville, two step-sons, Richard (Karen) Anderson of Lincoln, NE, and Steven (Kathy) Anderson of PawPaw, IL, five step-grandchildren, Colleen (Mark) Fuchs, Dennis (Jennifer), Kevin, Cheri (Nick) Pettey, and Steven II, and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford H. Anderson, former husband, Clarence Bancroft, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at West Batavia Cemetery.
