Marilyn F. Sherfey, age 77, went to be with her Lord on February 28, 2021. She was born May 23, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Albert & Clara Sandecki.

Marilyn grew up in Chicago and graduated from Wells High School in 1961. Marilyn met Charles Sherfey at the Chicago Ski Club. They were married in Chicago on November 22, 1969. Marilyn worked as a secretary prior to having children. Chuck and Marilyn moved to Mt. Prospect in 1971. Marilyn was involved in numerous ministries at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed dancing and skiing. Marilyn was always up for a chat and a walk with friends.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Charles; her children Brad (Joy) Sherfey and Sage (Sean) Youngstedt; her grandchildren Jane & Peter Sherfey and Elyse & Caleb Youngstedt; and her brother Ray (Joan) Sandecki. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was always a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her grandsons Benjamin & Levi Youngstedt; her brother Norbert (the late Jacque) Sandecki; and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
