Marilyn Voss Romer's Obituary
Marilyn Voss Romer, age 80, a resident of Wheaton, IL, and formerly of Oak Park, IL, died Monday, June 22, 2009 at home. She was born November 8, 1928 in Oak Park, IL.
Marilyn was a member of the JOY Group at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, IL. She was an active member of the Wyndemere Retirement Community where she lived and served on numerous committees.
She is survived by three children, John E. Romer of Las Vegas, NV, Susan (James) Cozzi of Elburn, IL, and Jeffrey A. (Jeanne) Romer of Louisville, KY; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Harold Voss of Savoy, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Romer.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 4-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 10:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to Lutheran Family Services, 1864 Frankfort Ave., Louisville, KY 40206.
