Marilyn J. Eggleston, age 90, a resident of St Charles, IL, died on December 26, 2020 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, IL. She was born September 9, 1930 in Aurora, IL to Clarence and Florence Killian.
Marilyn resided in Montgomery, IL until her marriage to Carl L. Eggleston on April 1, 1950. They settled in DeKalb, IL where Carl had a pharmacy in a medical center. Marilyn was a pharmacy tech and assisted Carl in his pharmacy. Eventually they bought Eggleston's Pharmacy and Gifts in Sycamore, IL. Marilyn enjoyed her church, her work in the pharmacy and gift shop, golf and entertaining her friends and family. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren who adored her, reflected in these words from her grandson Justin:
"Although I'm glad she is now rejoicing with Carl in God's presence, she will be missed for the time being until we see her again. I'd like to share that Grandma was and will forever continue to be a blessing, both with the memories we shared and also the countless words of wisdom that will be passed on for generations."
She is survived by her three children Cindy (Tom) Kraakevik, Tom (Paula) Eggleston and Lynn Eggleston; seven grandchildren: Jordan (Andrew) Leuchtmann, Elaine (Grant) Nelson, James (Karen) Kraakevik Justin (Erin) Eggleston, Joshua (Hayley) Kraakevik, Karen (Gunny) Negron, and John (Tracy) Eggleston; nine great grandchildren and her brother Paul Killian. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl L Eggleston; her parents; her Killian siblings: Harold, Donald, Harry, Ralph, Irwin, Glenn, Virginia Twichell, Lucille Woodward, Geraldine Killian and Bernadette Keeling.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
