Marie Grych Thomas, 85, a resident of Wheaton since 1947, died at home August 9th. She was born September 22, 1918 in Chicago, IL She was a 1939 Graduate of the University of Illinois . Mrs. Thomas worked for Sears Roebuck and taught school in Chicago. She was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority for many years. She was also a dedicated homemaker who will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Thomas L. Thomas;her son Thomas (Lauri) L. Thomas Jr. of The Woodlands Texas. and her grandchildren Heather and Shannon Homolka.

She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Marie Grych and her brother George Grych

Visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home 304 N. Main Street Wheaton Thursday August 12 at 3:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 am also at Hultgren Funeral Home , with Rev. Neal Sadler officiating.
There will be a private at Wheaton Cemetery for friends and family at a later date .Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew United Church of Christ 1420 S. Gables Wheaton, Illinois 60187
