Marie A. Seager, age 85, a resident of Wheaton and formerly of Baltimore, died Monday, January 8, at the Wynscape Nursing Center. She was born October 25, 1921 in Baltimore, MD.

Marie was known as a Servant of the Lord by her family. She spent 20 years volunteering at St. Elizabeth's Home for Retarded Children. She was a selfless, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent most of her life caring for her family - always thinking of others, rather than herself. She was a longtime member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD.

She is survived by her loving son, Francis Ronald (Carol L.) Seager; three cherished grandchildren, Laura E. (Denis) Rawe, Frank Randall (Jymette) Seager, and Gabrielle Marie (Michael) Wallace; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Melissa, Matthew Rawe, Ryan, Colton, Ty Seager, and Samuel Ethan Wallace; niece and nephews, Sally & Greg Tich, Amy & Eric Tich and Lynn & David Tich; loving cousin of Barbara & Frank Randall, Clara Bartholomee, Yvonne Lauryssens, Donald & Mary Seager, Sister Helen Donald Seager, Helen Durham, Mary & Fred Seager, Charlene & Buddy Koltra, Susie, Reds & Arthur Gayhardt; and her aunt, Gertrude Randall.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Frank R. "Sam" Seager; and her brother, Joseph Stanley Tich.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 12, at 11 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
