Marguerite E. Moons, a long-time resident of Wheaton and more recently of Glen Ellyn, IL, died Monday, December 2 in Glen Ellyn. She was born June 25, 1923 in Detroit, MI to Alberich and Gabrielle Couvreur.

Mrs. Moons was a homemaker with part-time office employment at District 200 and a local Wheaton dress shop. She was a member of the Wheaton area Gadabouts and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed the Chicago Cubs, piano, bridge, golf, theater, entertaining, and singing, having performed on Detroit radio as a child - even recording two albums at age 17.

She is survived by her son, Richard Andrew Moons; daughter, Robin Ann (Steve) Solomon; grandchildren, Rachel Albright, Christine Moons, Jason Moons, Rebecca Solomon and Ryan Solomon; and great-grandchild, Jessica Albright.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Moons; and son, Randall Alberich Moons.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 315 W. Illinois St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton.
