Obituary
Margaret Scheckel, age 88, a resident of Glen Ellyn and formerly of Chicago, died Tuesday, September 14, at Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton. She was born October 30, 1915 in Chicago to Fred and Ida Kosche.
Mrs. Scheckel was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton for 28 years, where she was involved with the Joy group and Womens's Missionary League.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Noreen (Lester) Troike of Wheaton; and two granddaughters, Melodie (John) Havlick and Shelli Troike, and one sister, Verna Beer of MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, one brother, Norman Kosche, one sister, Eleanor Hetzke, and her parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 16, from 3-9 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral service will be held Friday, at 12:00 noon at St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
