Margaret S. Dudley, age 79, of Glen Ellyn, IL and previously of Chicago, IL, passed away on March 2, 2024, surrounded by family.  She was born July 13, 1944 in Cortland, NY to William and Ethel Dudley.

She graduated from Illinois College with a major in French.  She later graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with Master of Arts (MA) in Counselor Education.

Margaret dedicated the latter part of her life to helping others as a psychotherapist for over 20 years, ultimately opening her own practice. She earned her license as a clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and was certified as a professional therapist in drug abuse and dependency (CADC).

Margaret was strong and resilient in the face of adversity.  She beat cancer twice, consistently exceeding the expectations of her doctors during her treatments and recoveries from surgeries.

She loved learning, reading, and language.  Her travels to France were a true love and passion. She had wonderful friends who inspired her and filled her with joy.  Of all the ways she enjoyed spending her time, nothing was more important to her than being with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Caroline (Jerry) Felix, her son David (Rebecca) Rhoades; her grandsons Jude Felix, George Rhoades, Henry Rhoades, her step granddaughters Fiona Felix and Micaela Felix; her sister Judy (Marc) Sauzeat.  She was predeceased by her parents.

A visitation will be held on March 7 from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 565 Randy Road, Carol Stream, IL  60188 .
