Margaret B. Doll, age 88, a resident of Glendale Heights, formerly of Venice, Florida, and Pell Lake, Wisconsin, died at home on Tuesday, September 6. She was born on November 6, 1916 in Chicago to Sylvester and Rose Rabiega.

Margaret was born and raised in Chicago, where she was a crossing guard for 18 years. She and her husband Charlie retired to Pell Lake, WI in 1971. There they remodeled the Doll family summer cottage to a year round residence. Charlie passed away in 1974, but Margie kept the home until 1989. She moved to IL with her daughter and son-in-law where she spent the summers but was a Florida snow bird as soon as it got too cold in IL. For the last 5 years she was a full time resident of Glendale Heights when it became too difficult to manage on her own after open heart surgery at the age of 82.

Her favorite activities were to play cards and be a season ticket holder for Wheaton Drama Theater and attend Steak Fries at the American Legion Post 76.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra L. (Tom) Krubl of Glendale Heights, 8 grandchildren, Sheila Kelly, Glenn Doll, James Doll, Eileen Day, Karen Hurley, Suzanne Liptak, Donald Krubl, and Michele Ryjewski, 8 great-grandchildren Erik Doll, Lacey Nally, Dustin Doll, Nicole Day, Matthew Day, Adam Liptak, Brian Ryjewski and Kyle Ryjewski.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son, Charles J. Doll, and one grandson Daniel Doll.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, from 4 to 9 p.m with a service at 7 p.m. and on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton.

Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
