Margaret Davies, 77, died January 8th, 2019 in her home in Wheaton. She was born January 13th 1941 in Boston Mass. Margaret raised three children as a single parent while working in city government. Starting as a temporary secretary, she rose to level of commissioner for the city of Syracuse. She devotedly tended to her Father's care in his late life before moving on to enjoy her own. In retirement, Margaret's love of reading and gardening found her working at the local library and forming a garden club for her community. She is remembered for her great sense of humor, her kindness and her deep love for her children and grandchildren. Her Friends called her 'Peggy', her children called her 'Mags' and her grandchildren called her 'Grandma'. She loved being all of these to those that loved her.

She had many close and loving friends in her life. Jane, Tom, Golda and David and her late dear love Clint.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving sister Noel and brother Johnny.

She is survived by her sons Paul and Phillip daughters-in-law Peg and Lela as well as her grandchildren Hazel and Ruby Davies, her brother William and sister Mary. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and notabably her niece Kristine and nephew Bill with whom she became very close over the last several years. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. A memorial service is being planned for later this year.
