IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia B.
Daniels
July 11, 1939 – January 21, 2026
Marcia B. Daniels, age 86, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born July 11, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Chester & Lois Butler.
Marcia graduated from Wheaton College in 1961 and began her career teaching high school Spanish. She later earned a master's degree and went on to teach Spanish at Judson College and, eventually, at Wheaton College. In 1978 Marcia met Paul Daniels, who was the first person to greet her when she applied for a position at John Nuveen and Co. Later that year they were married and Marcia became the stepmom to Paul's five children.
Marcia particularly enjoyed traveling. She and Paul went to Hawaii on their honeymoon which became a favorite destination. They frequently road-tripped across the US, and in their later years, took an around-the-world cruise aboard the Queen Mary II. Marcia regularly visited the Dominican Republic on mission trips and spoke at churches there.
Marcia took her faith very seriously. She became a Christian as a child while attending Judson Baptist Church, and remained a lifelong follower of Jesus. She wrote the book, "Jesus Heals Today," reflecting on her journey of healing after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Her words of wisdom to her family included, "Be a follower of Jesus in everything you do. Know who you are in Jesus and share it with other people."
She is survived by her five step-children: Dan (Vickie) Daniels of Woodland Park, CO; Dawn (Ben) Lofgren of Scottsdale, AZ; Debbie (Mike) Christie of Plantation, FL; Denise Daniels (Craig) Barwell of Wheaton, IL; David Daniels of Gothenburg, Sweden; and informally adopted daughter, Spring (Fonglui) Ng of Saint Johns, FL. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul.
A visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois 60187, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
