IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marc
Damon
February 13, 1975 – February 7, 2026
Marc Christopher Damon, age 50, of Wheaton, Illinois, passed away on February 7, 2026. He would have celebrated his 51st birthday on February 13, 2026.
Marc was a lifelong entrepreneur. He began working at an early age at a Yamaha store selling the toys he loved. From there he progressed to selling cars and later became the internet manager at a Ford dealership. Always frustrated by the limitations of available advertising and website options in the auto industry, Marc recognized a better way forward. When life presented him with the opportunity to start his own company, he took a leap of faith and taught himself to code with books borrowed from the library. With true grit and perseverance Marc and a small group of dreamers built Dealer Inspire, growing the company into a multimillion-dollar business with more than 400 employees in just five short years.
Marc enjoyed boats and cars but his true love and passion was aviation. He began fueling planes at Aurora Airport in his teens and rumor had it that he soloed his first Cessna after only seven hours of practice. Though life first led him elsewhere, Marc was always looking toward the sky. Once his business took off he was finally able to dedicate time to flight training, earning his private, instrument, and commercial licenses in short order. After the sale of Dealer Inspire, Marc achieved his lifelong dream of owning his own plane and he took full advantage of it. He flew family and friends far and wide, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Some of his most cherished trips included flights to Alaska, Turks and Caicos, Europe, and many trips up to Minocqua, Wisconsin. One of his proudest aviation achievements was inspiring his wife to earn her private and instrument licenses. With his copilot by his side, Christy and Marc realized his dream of flying Angel Flights, helping others reach vital medical appointments around the country.
Marc is survived by his loving wife, Christy Damon (née Pallardy), and his cherished sons, Zavier Damon (12) and Isaac Damon (9), who were the center of his world. He is further survived by his mother, Laurel Serrurier (Mike); his brothers, Todd Damon (Patti), Scott Damon (Amber), and half-brother Nick Damon (Cassandra); along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Damon (Debbie).
Marc will be remembered for his vision, determination, adventurous spirit, and his ability to turn dreams into reality. His presence will be deeply missed.
Lastly, Isaac and Zavier would like dad to know that they "love you more."
Blue skies and tailwinds Marc, until we meet again.
