IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Madeline
Patton
October 25, 1938 – August 8, 2023
Madeline Patton, at the age of 84, was welcomed home by her Savior Jesus Christ on August 8, 2023. She was surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home when she passed from this life into eternal life with the King of kings.
Madeline, born October 25, 1938, is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Patton. She is survived by her 6 children Rhonda (Kevin) Maloney, Cheryl (David) Lienhard, Ross (Lois) Patton, Craig (Amy) Patton, Ryan Patton, and Charisse (Randy) James, her 15 grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Sean, McKenzie, Hillary, Jared, Brodie, Elliot, Leah, Hannah, Sarah, Eliana, Declan, Lilly, Noah, Madeline, and Gracie, and her 11 great-grandchildren.
Madeline's life was marked by her deep and sincere appreciation for the people in her life. She was the embodiment of a helpmate to her husband and spent much of her life in joyful service of her children who she adored. As for her commitment to her friends, she left no question. In fact, it's been said that if you were a friend of Madeline's, you were a friend for life. Perhaps her most beautiful quality was her genuine acceptance of people just as they were — a loving virtue she demonstrated to friends and strangers alike and worked hard to instill in her children.
Throughout her life, Madeline pursued a variety of interests. She had a natural flair for the stage. As a teenager she landed the lead role in her high school production of Annie Get Your Gun, and later pursued her talent as a member of the Wheaton Drama Club. In addition to her theatrical interests, Madeline delighted in playing games with her family, often summoning her competitive spirit to claim victory over her kids and grandkids in games of Rummy 500 and Qwirkle. She was also steadfast in her pursuit of the Lord, actively participating in various Bible studies and daily devotionals.
Because of how she lived her life, Madeline leaves a legacy of devotion and acceptance — a beautiful example of servitude and humility. Madeline, thank you for being our devoted wife and mom, our loving "Granny" and our loyal friend. We rest assured that you are experiencing the Resurrection and the Life in His fullness, and so with hope we await the day we are reunited with you. Until then, we will thank the Lord for giving us such a beautiful gift and irreplaceable treasure. We love you.
