M. Patricia Kruse, age 94, a resident of Atria Senior Living in Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.  She was born November 22, 1930 in Geneva, Illinois to Joseph & Margaret Wilder.

After graduating from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in teaching, Patricia taught music in rural Iowa while pursuing a masters degree during the summers.  She returned to Illinois and continued teaching.  For many years she taught honors English at Glenbard South High School.  Patricia enjoyed music, traveling, golf, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Patricia was known for her high standards and love of learning throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth A. Kruse Jr., and by her daughter Elizabeth A. Kruse.

She is survived by her children: Catherine (David) Testyon & Kenneth A. (Kristine) Kruse III; her grandchildren: Taylor (Martin) Bryja, Cassandra & David M. Testyon; and Wren (Kyle) Patten, Rose (Will) Yager & Kenneth C. Kruse; and her great-grandchildren: Declan & Beckham Bryja.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Friday, March 14, 2025, 10:15 a.m. from Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187, to St. Michael Church for mass at 11:00 a.m. Following the mass, relatives & friends are invited to join the family for lunch at Cooper's Corner, 27W150 Roosevelt Rd, Winfield, IL 60190
