Luisito Tumang, age 84, a resident of Niles, IL, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.  He was born December 31, 1939 in the Philippines. He came to America in 1994,  with his wife, Angelita. Once in America, he was employed in US Robotics, 3 Com, until his retirement at Citi Corp. One of Luisito's qualities was he was always punctual and never late for work and looked forward to going to work and spend time with his co-workers that he treated as his second family.

Louie as he wants to be called, is strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued. Whether it was a simple birthday greeting, comforting calls whenever he could to the Philippines or his sage advice during challenging times, and not to forget his thoughtfulness.

Through the years, Louie enjoyed a slow-paced lifestyle. He likes to sing, watch serial TV shows and most of all, he loves to eat his favorite crab legs. He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his generous smile, and his ability to carry a conversation with any age group, that's why he has lots of friends young or old.

Louie is survived by his wife Angelita Tumang and his three children: Lourdes Tumang, Rommel Tumang (wife Lorna Ventura), Olivia Castro (husband Winston Castro). Grandchildren (Alyssa Marie Tumang, Ralph Richmond Tumang, Christian Jacob Tumang Soriano, Virgilio Tumang Soriano, Luis Joseph Tumang).

His siblings in the Philippines cannot be here in his celebration of life but they are thankful for everything for giving them life and providing all the support a father should provide. It was just so painful and wished they were by his side however; they are sending their love and affection.  Their life would never be the same but deep in their hearts, he will always be here. We love you.

Louie will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.

His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our life, we choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and sacrifices as he did for his family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 3:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 565 Randy Rd., Carol Stream, IL 60188.  Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
