Lucille Leninger, a longtime resident of Downer Grove, passed away from this life into
heavenly glory on September 26, 2023, at the age of 95.

Lucille was a loving, devoted, and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lucille was the beloved wife of the late George Leninger, Jr.; loving mother of George Leninger III, Mary (Nick) Head, Margaret (Andy) Martinec; adored grandmother of Christine (Mike) Bloome, Katie (Joe) Carlson; and cherished great grandmother of two; and the fond aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, her devoted parents and dear sister.

After raising her family, Lucille enjoyed being the friendly and helpful switchboard voice at Oak Park-River Forest High School until her retirement.

Lucille loved listening to music and for many years enjoyed playing the accordion. Her focus though, throughout her life was her family and her strong and enduring faith in Jesus Christ. She was a prayer warrior!

Lucille always had a warm and welcoming personality, beautiful smile, and loving embrace. She will be remembered with love and gratitude and dearly missed. We thank the Lord for blessing us with her.

Burial will be private.
