Lucile Swanson Turner, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Windsor's Johnson Healthcare Center. She was born January 4, 1921, in Anoka, MN
When Lucile was three years old her family moved to Minneapolis. She married Eugene Turner in 1944. She was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker, church worker, legal secretary, grandmother and great grandmother. In 1984 she and Eugene moved to Wheaton to be close to family. Lucile was always active in church as a Sunday School teacher and church librarian.
Lucile is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Ron) Salzman of Winfield; four grandchildren, Greg (Marcia), Jessy (Daniel) Balma, Joy (Craig) Yerly and Christopher (Betsy) Salzman; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Grace, and Luca Balma, and Lexi and Caleb Salzman; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday,October 24, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Village Green Baptist Church in Glen Ellyn. Interment is private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
