Louise H. Dominguez, age 89, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, and formerly of Wheaton, IL, died Saturday, August 25, at Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton. She was born March 17, 1918 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Louise was an employee of Sports Med, also known as Wheaton Orthopaedics, and a longtime member of the Wheaton Wesleyan Church. She also volunteered with the Central DuPage Hospital Auxiliary, and was an avid Bridge player and bowler. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was very involved with her family whom she enjoyed and loved greatly. She was known by her family and friends as a prayer warrior and a woman of great faith.
She is survived by her five children, Margaret (David) Tornga of Winfield, IL, Lee (Donna) Dominguez of West Chicago, IL, Paul Dominguez of Austin, TX, Janet (Gary) Luckey of West Chicago, and Kay (Jeff) McLaughlin of Tucson, AZ; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild; her brother, James (Carrie) Macorkel of Berwyn, IL; and two daughters-in-law, Judy Dominguez of Wheaton, and Carol Lou Dominguez of North Riverside, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Samuel; three sons, Albert, Richard, and James; her sister, Ruth Denn; and her brother, Harry McCorkle.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, from 4-8 P.M. at Wheaton Wesleyan Church, 1300 S. President St., where services will be held on Saturday, September 1, at 10:00 A.M. Interment is private.
