Lorraine (Lorry) Marcia Stuck, age 95, a resident of Indian Head Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Lorry was born in Chicago, IL to David and Dora Reiff on August 9, 1928. She spent her youth living in the Chicago suburbs and shared many fond memories of attending Bible camps as a little girl. Lorraine committed her life to Jesus at a young age. She attended Wheaton College and majored in Home Economics. It is there that she met the love of her life, Martin Stuck. After graduation, she worked one year in Spokane, WA as a Home Economics teacher. Martin and Lorraine were united in marriage on June 5, 1951, in Spokane, WA.

Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Dallas, TX where Martin attended seminary and Lorry worked in a business office. Together, they ministered to churches in Washington, California, Iowa, and Illinois. As a pastor's wife she was often found accompanying Martin in ministry from teaching Sunday School to playing piano for worship. She joyously raised four children and it was a delight for her to care for her household. Lorry was a master chef in the kitchen and anyone who has been hosted by her always left full of food and love. She loved reading books, writing cards, and savoring all of God's creation, especially admiring flowers. Most of all she was a faithful prayer warrior for her family.

Once their kids were in school full time, Lorry resumed her teaching career first in Sioux City, IA and then in Illinois where Martin and Lorry lived the remainder of their lives. When they weren't ministering in the Chicagoland area, they enjoyed sunny vacations to their condo in Fort Myers, FL and time at Lake Vermilion, MN. Martin and Lorry loved their eleven grandchildren (and many great-grandchildren) dearly. They enjoyed 65 blessed years of marriage until Martin's passing on October 7, 2016. Lorry continued to live in their condo until her death. Lorraine will be remembered for her warm hospitality, immense joy, gentle spirit, and ultimately her love for her Savior who she is now with for all eternity.

Lorry is survived by son Mark Stuck (Lori) of Sioux City, IA, son Dr. Gary Stuck (Pamela), of Indian Head Park, IL, son Dr. Rodney Stuck (Rhonda) of Palatine, IL, and Marcia Thompson (Don) of South Elgin, IL.

Grandchildren:

Jason Stuck (Kristen), Nate Stuck (Robyn), Ryan Stuck (Liz), Sarah Volz (Nathan), Allison Beglen (Kevin), Branden Stuck (Megan), Rachel Brad (Andrew), Justin Stuck, Dr. Emylee Kamper (Jonathan), Clay Thompson, and Elysse Thompson.

Great-Grandchildren:

Ashleigh, Parker, Blake, Cooper, Madelyn, Mia, Luke, Madison Fay, Barrett, Jace, Natalie, Kyler, Anna, Madison Grace and James.

A private family service for Lorraine will take place May 23, 2024 in Carol Stream, IL. and a private family memorial service will be held in the shelter at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery following the service.
