Lorraine M. Gerber, 84, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Johnson Health Care Center in Carol Stream. She was born on July 28, 1921 in Chicago and was a resident of Wheaton for 55 years.

She graduated from Lakeview High School, Chicago, and from Wright College in Chicago. She was a homemaker and worked for twenty-five years at Pioneer Ministries in Carol Stream as a financial secretary. She was a long-time member of the Wheaton Bible Church and served as a Sunday school secretary for many years as well as many other committees. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening and had traveled to many countries.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles E. Gerber; 4 children, C. Allen (wife Merry) of Spring Island, SC; Donald (wife Ann) of Wheaton; Patricia (husband Ron) Beran of Wheaton; Gary (wife Peggy) of Canton, MS; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother John; and survived by a brother Robert (wife Lorraine) of Hayden, ID; and Donald (wife Marilyn) of DesPlaines, IL.

Visitation will be held Tues., March 28, 4-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, in Wheaton. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Wheaton Bible Church, Wed., March 29, with Rev Jim Draper officating. Interment following at the Wheaton Cemetery.
