Lorraine Cacic, age 91, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, and formerly of Montello, WI, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017, at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois. She was born May 13, 1926 in Chicago to Frank and Sylvia Krywokulski.

Lorraine grew up on the south side of Chicago, one of eight children. She married Nicholas Cacic in 1944. They lived in Orland Park and West Chicago until moving to Montello for retirement in 1983. She moved back to Illinois in 2014.

She and Nick loved to travel. She enjoyed crafts and gardening and cooking for family. Her faith was important to her and she was always active in the Catholic churches where they lived.

She is survived two children, Therese Richards of Carol Stream, and Michael (Veronica) Cacic of Warrenville, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2014, her son, Joseph in 2015, her son Walter, her parents and her siblings.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 277 E Montello St, Montello, WI 53949. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, in Montello, Wisconsin.
