Lois P. Brown, age 85, a resident of Wheaton, and formerly of Columbus, OH, died Thursday, March 17, at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. She was born March 31, 1919 in Seneca, NE.
Lois retired from the United States Postal Service after 15 years in Columbus. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Bartlett for the past seven years. She was also one of the earliest graduates of the Apostolic Bible Institute from the class of 1943. Her life was devoted to music and teaching ministries in the local church and also to world missions.
She is survived by her daughter, Belva (Chuck) Hall of Wheaton; four grandchildren, Bonnie (Nathan) Parkman of Houston, TX, Brannon, Brianna, and Michael Hall, all of Wheaton; and four great-grandchildren, Dustin, Camrie, Daran, and Teagan Parkman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Claud Brown; her son, Rodney Brown; and by a sister and two brothers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, from 5-8 P.M. at the United Pentecostal Church of Bartlett, 270 E. Schick Road, where a service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Additional services and interment will be in Portsmouth, Ohio.
