Linda M. Weiland, age 60, a longtime resident of Warrenville, IL, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Wynscape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheaton, Illinois. She was born September 22, 1957 in Chicago to Noel and Helen Martinez.
Linda moved to Warrenville as a child and graduated from Wheaton North High School. She graduated from the College of DuPage with a degree in Radiology Technology. She worked at Edward Hospital in Naperville for over 25 years as a radiology technician. Until last fall, she worked at Central DuPage Hospital, where she had worked for over 10 years. Her faith was an important part of her life and she was an active member of Calvary Church in Naperville where she loved to sing in the choir and in church plays. She had a passion for traveling and shopping. She was a very loyal and compassionate friend who had a heart for service and giving. She was a loving mother who always put others' needs before her own. She was patient and kind and had a vivaciousness for life.
She enjoyed travel and shopping. She cared deeply for her friends.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Weiland and Peter Weiland, her mother, Helen Martinez, her brother, David Martinez and her aunt, Olga Zitek. She was preceded in death by her father, Noel Martinez and her brother, Michael Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church of Naperville, in the chapel at the south end of the church, on Saturday the 16th of June at 10:00 a.m.
