Linda S. Sane, age 71, a longtime resident of West Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 19, 1946 in Alton, Illinois to Alexander and Violet Hogle.

Linda was a life member of the VFW Post 2164 Auxiliary in Wheaton. She worked for Solydine Corporation for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Rodney Sane of Bethalto, IL, Barbara (Jason) Short of Grand Marsh, WI, and Belinda (Albert) Baker of West Chicago, IL, five grandchildren, Abby, JJ, Sami Jo, Jordan, and Erica, two great-grandchildren, Ella and Ava, three sisters, Eva (Bernie) Wright of East Alton, IL, Barbara Johnesee of Bethalto, IL and Dianne (Donald) Thornwald of Villa Park, IL and two brothers, Carl (Joanne) Hogle of Wood River, IL and Jim (Cathy) Hogle of Algonquin, IL and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2008, her parents, and six siblings.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Fosterburg Cemetery in Alton, Illinois on Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to American Cancer Society.
