Heaven gained another angel while the world lost a beloved mother, Linda L. Morgan, (formerly Holmes), on March 26, 2024. She passed away peacefully at Elevate Nursing Home, Riverwoods, IL, surrounded by those who loved her.

Linda was a proud Wheaton resident her entire life. She graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1965. In the years following graduation, Linda held various jobs in the local area, including working at Family Shelter Service in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Despite several ongoing illnesses, Linda remained a devoted mother to Laura, son-in-law, Aaron and cherished "Fa" to her grandchild, Rowan. Married to the honorable Judge Lewis V. Morgan, Jr. for 45 years, the couple resided in Wheaton, IL, their lifelong home.

An avid reader, Linda devoured books by a wide assortment of authors from Steel to Grisham, Michener and Evanovich. Traveling was another favorite pastime Linda enjoyed and she and Lew vacationed in many different places both nationally and internationally. They enjoyed repeat visits to Disney World, Savannah, Georgia, the east coast, and the Wisconsin Dells. One of Linda's favorite locations was Hawaii, particularly Oahu, where she vacationed twice.

Linda lived life for the love of her family. She had a wonderfully witty sense of humor and a kind and generous spirit, known for being an amazing gift giver. She held a deep love of animals, especially for the family dogs, Suzie, Watson, Jazz, and also their Lovebirds. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Doris Holmes, sister Joanne Maurer, brother George "Buddy" Holmes, and husband Judge Lewis V. Morgan, Jr.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Laura Morgan (Aaron Blane), grandson, Rowan, stepchildren, Barbara Oshlo (Robert) Diane Regan (Kevin), Lewis "Skip" V. Morgan, III., many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law, Barbara "Bunny" Holmes.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. with the service immediately following at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
