Linda S. Hyde, age 64, a 30-year resident of Wheaton, IL, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was born July 10, 1954 in Chicago IL.
Linda was a 1972 graduate of Glenbard North High School, and 1976 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan College. As a pediatric nurse, she has helped many children and their parents in her career of over 30 years at Wheaton Pediatrics. Linda loved her family, and wanted to be surrounded by her husband, son, many siblings, nieces and nephews whenever possible. She will be remembered as the creator of Dalmatians disguised as Black Labs, Kentucky Derby parties, and pumpkin carving contests for her 15 nieces and nephews. Linda loved her family, hosting large family gatherings during holidays, teaching her nieces how to bake bread and make pasta, or sewing something for one of her many loved ones. Linda also loved to teach, was a mentor in the Apples of Gold at her church and a bread making instructor.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, John S. Hyde; her devoted son, Matthew S. Hyde; her siblings, Lon M. Yeary, Jill A. Marotz, Joy J. Coduto, Jack J. Yeary, Mark W. Yeary, and Mary A. Dinges.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lon O. Yeary; and her mother, Virginia P. Yeary.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
